Parking Lot Flea Markets, No Ice today

"WHAT DOES EAST GARFIELD LOOK LIKE?"

On my walk this morning I didn't see the usual "Snow Cone" or "Candy" stores", perhaps it has been so hot these past few days vendors are coming out later in the afternoon. This sign was in front of the Marathon Gas Station on Homan, between Warren/Washington. I thought even this gas station is competing with "Shaved Ice" venues.

I was walking up Washington toward Kedzie, to visit the Jacob Beidler school/community garden, and to see if there were any "Candy Stores" or "Snow Cone Vendors" along that route. I came upon this vendor doing business. Most days these "parking lot flea markets" like these are on the North side of Kedzie between Lake/Walnut.
